Update...still Here!

Hi Everyone,
Well It's been awhile since I've posted and some people checking in are worried about me or ticked off. As always, time slips away. Things are great and am very busy with work.
I've read the most recent comments and I do recieve and read all e-mails sent to me. I REALLY appreciate everyone who comes to the website and participates in making new friends going down memory lane. I am concerned about people who are looking for the DeFranco Family CD I released. I wish I could have continued the release however KTEL went BUST- thus left me without the funds they owed me to continue to press additional CDs. Now I see they are going for a small fortune on E-Bay. Amazing. Some fans have said that I should just make them available for download on our website. Wish I could...however the record company owns the masters so I woul have to cut some sort of deal. Having said all that, I promise that I will look into the possibility of cutting a deal with the record company so I can make it available for download.
I hope everyone continues to enjoy the website and I will talk to my website guy about changing
or adding some new stuff.
All the best...

Tony

    Hello Tony,
Since the CD is so hard to get, and since there is nothing I found of you guys on YouTube except for an awards ceremony where your singing is interrupted by Andy Williams and Loretta Lynn, would you consider letter your webmaster post up some of the video clips you have on this site to YouTube? I bet folks search for you and your family all the time.
Merry Xmas, and best Wishes, Mara

Oh My GOSH!!! I can't believe that I found this. I had such a crush on you when I was young. It is funny because I took a long road trip and bought some CD's from the 70's and I heard your song on there, "Heartbeat It's A Lovebeat" and it brought back so many great memories. I used to buy all your songs and listen to them over and over again. I am so glad that you are still in the music business and keep up the good work. If you get a minute, please check out my web site and sign my guest book.

Hello, Whats up. This is my first time on a blog. I am not really sure what one is but here goes. I was happy to see your picture again. I showed it to my daughter and was telling her about joining your fan club when I was her age, 12. Ok, she just gave me a funny look. Anyway, it was nice to see your picture again. It brought back fond memories of my childhood. See ya.

Hey - just found your site! My gosh, I loved you guys when I was a kid! I would love to buy a cd of your old stuff. I also listened to the radio interview where you mentioned the possibility of some Christmas music. Did anything ever come of those projects? You definitely have interested fans still out here!!!!

    Hey Tony!

Just wanted to say, I was reminded after reading this that I STILL have your album "Heartbeat, it's a Lovebeat." Yes, the 33 record, no turntable to play it on, but I still have it!

Hi Tony Here is hoping that you get this comment. I am 50 yrs old and still ride down the road with my windows down (summertime of course) listening to Abra-Ca-Dabra and Heartbeat its a lovebeat. It brings back memories of the good old days when it seemed like everything was good. I snapped back to reality on those same roads (I still live in the same place) only to a time that is so uncertain. One thing for certain the songs will always be good. I never got to go to one of your concerts, if you had them today I would be glad to bring my granddaughter to one. She is only 8 and she loves Heartbeat. Hope you are well and enjoying life. I am still living life to the fullest in the Alabama.

I've been wondering for years what happened to you guys. I thought you were back in Canada living normal lives!

I miss your music. I used to sleep with your pics under my pillow. How lame, right? Maybe so, but I don't care. I wore out my record palyer listening to you.

Hi Tony...I have been a fan of your family's for, well, a really long time. I was a member of your fan club back in the 70's and saw your family twice at Six Flags in Georgia. I even caught Benny's hat in the second act. I kept it for years but lost it in a move 15 years ago. It is so good to know that all of you are well and I hope you are all happy. Thank you all for all the wonderful music and memories. You and Nino and Benny were my first real crushes. It seems like just yesterday that I was listening to your records. Anyway, thanks again for all the wonderful memories.

Hello to the family. What is everyone up to as of July 2008. I remember listing to your songs that played in the 70's. Sometimes the oldies stations here in Wisconsin will play Heartbeat is a Lovebeat. I just sing along. Just like I do with most songs I grew up with listening to on the radio. Do you do any performances in Wisconsin or are you limited to the California area.

    Dear Tony,
I fell in love with you the first time I laid my eyes on you when I was about 10 or 11. Your songs made my heart flutter in those early days. I wish I could've gone to one of your concerts back then. I used to buy Tiger Beat magazines just to see you. I had posters plastered all over my bedroom walls and knew every word in each of your songs. I still have all your 45's. I loved your family more than the Osmonds (just don't let Donny know). You will always have a special feeling in my heart.

    Hey Tony and DeFranco Family--
I was having this major "let's be young again" episode and I really needed to listen to music from my past. Typically, the music I choose to listen to from my past is 80's music. I have never strayed back to the 70's to remind me of younger days. That was my brother's and sister's time. So I thought. All of a sudden, with the help of the internet, I found this song that started with an awesome, "Boom boom boom, mmm, mmm, boom boom boom" and then I saw you and your family in pants suits (I'm watching this w/my 13 yr old daughter now, telling her how cool you are) come out on stage and do your cheesy 70's performance but it meant as much to me now as it did back then because it was cool back then and meant something to me. Thanks for reminding me of a time in my life when it was just fun!!!! No pressure, no seriousness-----just boys in pantsuits making the girls go gah gah over them. I hope you and your family are doing well!! Take Care!
    Always!!

    Hello Tony,
I was listening to the 70s station on Sirius recently and Hearbeat came on, I started screaming! =) I haven't heard it since I was a teen. My girlfriend and I were singing along, remembered all of the words. Reminded me of how covered my room was with your picture from Tiger Beat! How fun to relive a moment that was so long ago. Thanks for the great music your family created. I'm now 43, but for the time the song played I was a young girl! =)

    Hi Tony,

I have just recently found your website. I had heard "Heartbeat" on a radio at birthday party my daughter went to. When I got home I decided to google you and found the site. I was so excited to see it and then I played your music for my 2 girls, 10 and 7. They absolutely LOVE it...and so do I. I had all your record when I was about 10 and you first came on the scene. My mom even took us to see you in concert in Indiana. We laugh to this day how my sister and I tore off and headed up to the stage to get a closer look! :-)

I tried to send you an email to your realestate link, but did not hear back. I was just trying to find out if you were going to follow through on your promise to try and get a deal to allow music to be downloaded. What is the latest? There hasn't been any postings on your site for almost 2 years.

PLEASE take a little time to update your fans. As a reading teacher, who just bought a bunch of your records off e-bay, I really want to play your music for my students and have them read the lyrics in class. Some of these kids might become fans of yours and want to check out this site.

A lot of us "baby boomers" have kids that are the age of your fan base when you and your family were recording. You should be trying to tap into that new generation of fans and put some effort into getting your music "out there" again and so the YOU can benefit from that.

I hope you can work something out and I am happy to hear that you are so successful and happy.

    All the best,

Sad to hear you got ripped off back then and since I work in Law Enforcement here in SO. CA. That really erks me to hear.. I hate crooks! Anyway if you want to make 10xs the money you lost back then you should do a tour.. It would be a hit.. I would also offer you free bodyguard service if you decide to tour. Thanks for all the GREAT somgs and memories. Steve UPLANDPD832@MSN.COM

My 22 year old daughter asked me, out of the blue, "What magazine did you read as a kid" and somewhere buried in memory of years ago came to mind "Tiger Beat". I google everything and was pretty shocked to come across this blog. Me and my husband are both from Southern California (Torrance) now living in Albuquerque, happily married 24 years. Time is a bandit but the journey is wonderful. Good luck with your future endeavors.

My best friend, Linda and I have been friends since we were toddlers. We always joke about how she had a crush on Michael Jackson and me a major crush on you! When we were kids, (long story) I went through a glass door, thanks to her, LOL. I was laid up for the summer, the highlight of it all, was she told my parents how much I wanted to be in your fan club, they sent it in for me and I remember how totally excited I was to get the fan club packet......I think I ruined your picture kissing it so much! I was on top of the world! I would play that album over and over! I still have it to this day, still know all the words to every song! I would love for it to come out on CD! I would be the first in line! I just wanted to tell you your music was a big part of my childhood, it always brightened my day! Thanks so much for that!

I am now all grown up and living in Hawaii, it would be a great place to start a tour!!

    With much Aloha,
    Renee

    Hi Tony,
How happy I am to see that you have a website. You and your family and your music are part of some of my favorite memories from the carefree days of childhood. Thank you all for that!
I pray that you and your family are well.
It's funny that my children tease me for still having my "Heartbeat...it's a Lovebeat" album. I always smile and tell them that I hope when they are my age, they will have music they can turn to that never fails to put a smile on their faces and bring back good memories. That album is going nowhere! :o)
Thanks for the music and the memories, Tony. It's good to see you again and know that you are well.
    All my best,
    Sandy
