Hi Tony
I grew up with you! I just now found you on this website and I am so happy. Needless to say, I was one of the MILLIONS of fans of yours that ADORED you in the 70s! I used to dream about you all the time, dreaming that you were singing that song Heartbeat is a Lovebeat to me. Isn't it funny how everything changes in life. That was when I was in 7th grade. Wow. Time FLIES!!
I want to say that I am so sorry that you lost somebody close to you. My mother is dying, and I can relate to the pain you and your family are going through. It's a very difficult time. She's 80 and in bad health. It's always so sad and hard to let somebody go that you've loved in life. But let them go, we must. They have to go to be angels.
It's so nice to see you looking so hot still at our age!! I haven't read anything else on this website yet except for your first message about losing your friend Lorrie. I was just so excited to have found you and see that you are doing great.
I felt like I never got to hear enough of you. The DeFranco Family should have been more popular than the Osmonds, in my point of view. You were WAY hotter than Donny. LOL And sang WAY better than Michael Jackson. Of course, we all know, it was the Italian in you that made you hotter.
Well, that's all I wanted to say, was that I am glad to have found you on the computer and that I hope life is going very well for you and your family.
Take care. It would be nice if you could e-mail me back, but I know how busy you probably are, so I won't expect it. I am a legal secretary with 20-year-old and 18-year-old daughters and have a 3-year-old grandson (at the age of 46, I know -- I'm a grandma?!!), so I know what "busy" is! I hardly have time to clear out all the spam out of my e-mail account! That's a daily chore!
Take care. God bless you and yours in these difficult times.

Im not sure where to leave this note so Im starting here. I am sorry about your loss of course. I am from Chicago and saw you in concert when I was in 6th grade at the Arie Crown Theater. My older brother took me which was amazing that he would do that! I want you to know I still think about you and your family and how much I enjoyed your music. I was very sorry to see you go. Just lately I have listened to some of your music and it brings a smile to my face. Of course my kids think the music is weird!!! Why would you have listened to that kind of music they tell me...I just tell them how fantastic you guys were. Im glad to see your doing well and enjoying life. God bless.

Happy Holidays to you and your family! I have been a loyal fan from So. California since 1973. Gosh I was only 13 years old then I am now 47 1/2. My best friend and I seen you perform 6 x at Knotts Berry Farm, in Burena Park CA. in the 70's. We went to both shows that you had each day! I am now living on the Central Coast Of California in Atascadero Ca. near Pismo Beach and Morro Bay.
Love it here. Warm sunny weather, with the beach only 14 miles from our home. I am in employeed with the San Luis Superior Court as a Legal Clerk Processor. I have all civil, family law and probate appeals. I have been back in CA since 4/2004. We moved to Steilacoom/Tacoma WA. after being laid off by Mc.Donnell Douglas Aircraft in 1990 and 1991. Hope you are doing well, you look great on the web site and so does your brothers and sister too.
Hope you can get up to the Coast sometime, Maybe perform at our local fair in August in Paso Robles. That would be awesome if you did. Write me when you have a chance. God Bless you and the family always in my thoughts and prays.

Tony, I am so glad that I found this site. I have a friend named Arronna who has been a fan of yours since the 70s. All she talks about is your music. She met you in 1975 at Shilitos department store in Cincinnati, Ohio. You gave her a small kiss and she has never forgotten it as it was her first kiss. She is now 46 and still a big fan. Where can she email you?

Oh my goodness, it's Tony Defranco. After all these years I finally find you. Do you even realize how much you are loved? The Defranco family, Leif Garrett, Shawn Cassidy and so many more were such a big part of our lives growing up. Back then it was so innocent and now it just isn't. I have told my 16 year old daughter all about you. She didn't believe me that you were real until I showed her your pictures. I am so glad I found you again, you've been missed. Do you and your family still sing? I'd love to take my daughter to see you. I am so sorry about your friend. My mom died last Aug. and it's still hard. I'm afraid to cry, what if I don't stop? Then what? Please send my love to everyone and I hope to see you soon. Much love from your friend Cricket

Here I am, 43. One day on our cable 70s music channel, we found "Heartbeat, It's a Lovebeat." I still knew every word, 30 years after I had last heard it. I'm here. I want to know how the family is, how you all are. You are part of my life.

I just wanted to say that I was also one of your fans in grade school. You and the Defranco's made for many memories of myself and my friends listening to your songs, singing along and dreaming of one day meeting you. Hope life has been kind to you and yours and I just wanted to say thank you for the memories of today and the dreams of long ago. Have a great Holiday season and may God Bless you all.

Tony,
It seems that is has been a while since this site was updated but I just discovered it.
I am your age and used to enjoy listening to The DeFranco Family in the early 70's. Your songs were catchy and you performed well onstage. I always wondered where you all went and why more albums weren't made. Those were the more simple times compared to the present day. Will there ever be a reunion? So many of the acts from the past are returning and are more then welcome by their fans.
It is good to see that you are doing well in real estate - hope that the recent economic crisis hasn't put a dent into your careeer - and you are looking good.
